I shouldn’t be so selfish
“Do you think I have too many hobbies?”
“What do you mean too many hobbies?”
“Y’know, I want to run, I want to take photos, I want to dive. All these take effort. All these take gear. Maybe I should concentrate my efforts a little.”
“Okay… Maybe you should drop something that you’ve not invested as much in?”
“Ah, running it is then! It’s true, I haven’t even got my running watch yet. On the other hand, I’ve already spent so much on my dive stuff and my cameras!”
“But running is the most beneficial!” Ms P senses what I’m trying to do.
“Erm. No, not true. When I’m taking photos, I’m introducing objects of beauty to this world. That’s very beneficial what.” Obtuse is my middle name.
“No, I mean, beneficial to you. Running keeps you healthy.” Apparently two can play the game.
“Oh, but you know, I shouldn’t be so selfish…”

Sidenote:
The photo above is one of my fave shots from my recent Bali dive. It links to my flickr photostream which has the other underwater shots. I’m personally rather proud of what I’ve managed to capture, considering the fact that this is only the second time I’m diving with a camera. On the other hand, my recent Nike Run almost killed me… So who knows. Perhaps I’m only half joking. Ahem!
